JUPEB Gradings & Points

Students academic efforts are interpreted into grades and points at the end of the programme. This tables below contains information on calculation of these grades and points, including illustrations.

LETTER GRADE MARK RANGE INTERPRETATION GRADE POINTS
A 70 + Excellent 5
B 60 to 69 V. Good 4
C 50 to 59 Good 3
D 45 to 49 Merit 2
E 40 to 44 Pass 1
F 0 - 39 Fail 0
ILLUSTRATION: A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, F = 0 (A point is added to a candidate whose result is devoid of an F grade)

For example, a student who gets a C grade in all three subjects entered for has a point calculated thus;
CCC= 3 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 10pts

Maximum point = AAA in your three subject courses = 15+ 1 = 16pts. Please confirm this in the UTME/DE brochure.

Note: JUPEB results are released maximum of 60days after the final examination.
